We can “BEARLY” wait! St. John’s will be hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) August 4-8th from 2:30-5pm. Our theme this year is True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World! It is so easy to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today, but throughout VBS week we will learn that Jesus is our “True North.” Kids can expect a full week of Alaskan adventure full of faith discoveries, memorable music, and fellowship! Ages 3 (potty trained)-5th grade are invited to attend. VBS is FREE and open to the public, so INVITE your friends and family! Registration will begin June 1st; look for more information to come. Each year during VBS, we participate in a mission project to further allow our kids to see how Jesus shines each and every day! This year, we are sharing Jesus’ love by supporting the Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry. This is a national human-care ministry embracing the unique, calming nature and skills of purebred Golden Retrievers. The LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs are a bridge for compassionate ministry, opening doors for conversation about faith and creating opportunities to share the mercy, compassion, presence, and proclamation of Jesus Christ. We are seeking MONETARY DONATIONS to help support this cause. There will be a donation box at church during the week of VBS.
